This Privacy Policy explains what information the S-Hed app ("we", "the app") handles and how. By using S-Hed you agree to this policy.
S-Hed is a card game. We keep the data we handle to the minimum needed to run the game, save your progress, and let you play online. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising tracking, and most of what the app stores stays on your own device.
Account information (only if you choose to sign in). S-Hed works without an account using an anonymous profile. If you sign in with Apple, Google, or email/password to save your progress across devices, we receive and store a user identifier and, depending on the method, your email address and/or name. This is handled through Google Firebase Authentication and is used only to identify your account and sync your progress. Sign-in is optional.
Game and profile data. Your player name, avatar, level, coins, stats, settings, and (for online games) match information are stored to run the game and save your progress. Local play data is kept on your device; online match data is stored in Google Firebase so players in the same game can share game state.
Photo you choose for a card back. If you use the "My Photo" deck feature, the photo you pick is stored only on your device to draw your card backs. It is not uploaded to our servers and is not shared with other players. You can remove it at any time from the Decks screen. Selecting a photo uses Apple's system photo picker, so the app only ever receives the single image you choose.
Advertising. S-Hed shows optional "watch an ad for coins" rewarded ads through Google AdMob. These are non-personalised and you only ever see one if you tap to watch it. AdMob may process limited device information to serve and measure ads; see Google's policies for details.
We use the information above only to: run the game, save and sync your progress, enable online multiplayer, show optional rewarded ads, and maintain and improve the app. We do not use your information for tracking across other apps or websites.
We do not sell your personal information. Information is processed by our service providers Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) and Google AdMob solely to provide these features. Other players in an online match can see gameplay information such as your player name and moves. They never see your account credentials or any photo you set as a card back.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile then Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and its associated data, including online games you host, and returns the app to a fresh anonymous profile. Any photo you set as a card back is stored only on your device and is removed when you delete it or uninstall the app.
S-Hed is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
